The Menschel MEPTITE screw forms female thread itself in cast
blind holes, in rim holes and punched metal parts, without any cutting
steps whatsoever in the casting, the steel or sheet steel, in iron,
aluminium, brass, copper etc. Thread cutting is no longer necessary.
Extensive assembly steps are significantly reduced, thus minimizing
cycle time and costs.
MEPTITE displaces the material around the thread without any loss
of material whatsoever, since the female thread is grooved. In this
way, with the MEPTITE screw, no clearance is required and there
are no protusions. Also no swarf is created. There is no destruction
of the fibre orientation, as occurs with thread cutting. The thread is
cold hardened. The connection between the nut and the female
thread guarantees low risk of tearing so that the screw connection
is extremely firm.
If it is necessary to loosen the screw at any time the thread is not
affected in any way. The screw can be re-inserted and tightened
once again no matter whether it is a MEPTITE or any other metric
screw.
