ME-RIPP and ME-ZAHN locking screws
ME-RIPP locking screws are reliable fasteners for securing screw connections against loosening. The preload is maintained even under high dynamic loads. The screws' serrations under the head provide a special mechanical locking effect that prevents the connection from loosening. This is achieved by radial ribs acting on the component across the entire contact surface. During assembly, the radial ribs are pressed into the respective counter-surface by the applied preload. The resulting positive locking prevents the connection from loosening. Additional locking devices, washers, and spring washers are not required. The component surface, even of sensitive materials, is protected.

scope
Ribbed screws are typically used in areas where a particularly strong and vibration-resistant connection is required.
Menschel ME-RIPP screws are increasingly being used in chassis components, engines, transmissions, machinery, and systems. They are also used for fastening steel structures, scaffolding, and precast concrete elements, as well as for fastening rails and in the construction of wagons, heavy machinery, and equipment.
